The surprise of Prince William and delight of Robert Pattinson definitely gave the two men an advantage tonight at the BAFTA awards. Dressing formal but classy the two men approached the red carpet with fans stretching their hands out to say hello in every which way.
While neither would have gotten an award as they were not nominated, there is no doubt if there was a category for fashion, they would have won. Bright and cheery the two men stopped and posed for photographers while waving and smiling to the fans.
Not running into each other formally outside on the Red carpet, it is said the two briefly exchanged formalities when inside and getting ready to be seated.
The BAFTA awards are a huge event in the UK and when royalty attends it becomes even bigger.

The BAFTA Awards brought out the stars last night and they were very bright. The fashion of the celebrities didn't disappoint with the best being Kate Winslet and Joely Richardson leading the threads.
Orange British Academy Film Awards compliment the entertainment business in February, bringing out all the A-List celebrities all gussied up for all the world to see. In fact, the red carpet portion of this popular award ceremony is probably as important as winning. Fashion is made or broken on the carpet, with fans talking about it for days after the winners have already been forgotten.
The best part of these awards must be the fans. While most US Award shows require fans to have tickets and pay for their place next to the red carpet, this isn't the case for the BAFTA awards. It is far more casual and down to earth in a very audience appreciation sort of way.
