Paul McDonald submitting music for 'Breaking Dawn - Part 2' soundtrack

Paul McDonald - former American Idol star and current husband to Nikki Reed ("Rosalie Hale" in The Twilight Saga) - is reportedly going for his second soundtrack appearance, this time for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2.

McDonald previously contributed a song to Twilight star Peter Facinelli's movie Loosies, and now, according to MTV, he wants to be a part of the Breaking Dawn - Part 2 album as well.

Nikki Reed spoke with MTV about the music video she and McDonald released yesterday - "Now That I Found You" - and mentioned McDonald's interest in the final Twilight album.

"Paul has been speaking with them about potentially attempting to write something . . . Nothing is set in stone. He will be working on songs to submit. It would be a great, great thing. The music supervisor [Alexandra Patsavas] on that, as well as [director] Bill Condon, have great taste," she explained.

McDonald added, "It's very preliminary . . . It's kind of one of those things. I write all the time."

McDonald also mentioned that he's "familiar" with the Twilight Saga film stories.
